access Prometheus's UI directly and also using another URL

Hello,

I'm using nginx as proxy. I want to access Prometheus's UI directly, as well using another URL. This is the use case I have. I'm able to get to prometheus using different url by configuring the nginx and also the prometheus's --web.external-url flag.

But, then I'm unable to access Prometheus UI directly. I'm stuck here. Any pointers will help.

You're going to need to provide more information.

Is your external URL just providing a different host? Or are you also providing a different path?

How did you configure your nginx reverse proxy?

What kind of failure are you seeing when you true to reach the Prometheus directly?
