Compatibility of prometheus and cloudwatch

Hi,

For our large scale project based on AWS EKS, I had to design a monitoring system. As this is a kubernetes environment, I planned to do it with Prometheus. But I see that exporting prometheus metrics to Cloudwatch is not properly done. And Cloudwatch doesnt have the alarming system as good as AlertManager. 

Any suggestions on this design?
