I am trying to install windows_exporter on my windows 10 machine and I keep getting an error that I have to verify that I have sufficient privilege's to start a service.

I have tried running the .msi as an administrator and updated local group policy settings to ensure that I have permissions.

I'm stumped at this point. Any suggestions?

Has anyone had similar issues? This is starting to get annoying

I'm not even sure where to look for log files. I'm running the windows_exporter.msi file and the installation fails when trying to start the service so I don't think there are any log files. There are application information events in the event viewer but there useless.
