Alertmanager: persist silences across restarts?

Is it possible for Alertmanager to persist silences that we have configured via the Web UI through a restart of the Alertmanager process? Didn't see anything in the documentation about configuring this.

Alertmanager persists silences between restart in a directory
specified by the --storage.path flag (`data` by default). You just
have to make sure that the restarted Alertmanager still has access to
that same directory (i.e. if you run it as a stateless service on K8s,
you might run into trouble).
