How to do performance testing for Prometheus and Alert manager

As title, I need to do some performance testing for these 2 components, because we need to know when we should scale the Prometheus。

You may be interested in prombench[0]. This is what we use for our testing.

We have an official benchmark bot as part of our standard testing[1].
