Early idea: gsoc: openapi for Prometheus

Hello,

This is a idea that I've got for gsoc: could we propose to port the Prometheus Api's to openapi, like it is done in alertmanager?

I could mentor it.

Do you think this is enough work? ( We could extend to pushgateway).

Would it be useful for thanos/cortex? (Implement the open api spec instead of importing the full api package).
