Hey all.
In order to help make the node_exporter more useful, sometimes we like to reduce the number of metrics it outputs by default. This helps by reducing the load on Prometheus, especially for users with large numbers of nodes.
In order to help make the node_exporter more useful, sometimes we like to reduce the number of metrics it outputs by default. This helps by reducing the load on Prometheus, especially for users with large numbers of nodes.
To help with this, I'm proposing[0] we add an include/exclude filter for the `node_memory_...` metrics. I'm looking for feedback from the community for help deciding what would be useful defaults.
