Submitting a Tutorial for Prometheus in TrueNAS SCALE

We, the documentation team at iXsystems, would like to submit a user tutorial to help the community with instructions on deploying the Prometheus application in our platform.

What is your process for such documentation PRs?

Where in your repository would the file, and images it uses, be added?

What is the approval process?

Sorry, we generally do not have a place for tutorials like this on our site. There are thousands of such tutorials out there, it would be impossible to curate them from our site.

As a TrueNAS SCALE user, I wish SCALE itself had better Prometheus support. I've thought about adding some to the middleware, but the number of rejections for improvements by iXsystems means I don't want to spend the effort just to have the PR closed.

If TrueNAS provided Prometheus metrics, it could be listed on https://prometheus.io/docs/instrumenting/exporters.
