Alpine base image

Dear Community,

Is there a possibility of providing alpine base image and releasing prometheus images in alpine flavour?

The reason for this is the problem with sysdig security scanner that I am facing (version that I must use inside my company cannot scan busybox-based images).

I would like to contribute in that area, but first I need to know if there is any positive response from prometheus community for this idea.

Hi Rafal,

we just talked this over during our monthly sync; it's not a priority
to us, but we would gladly accept PRs which create those images in
parallel to what we have.

Hi Richard,

I have prepared working draft: https://github.com/rostrovsky/prometheus-alpine

It is mainly based on https://github.com/prometheus/busybox structure.

I was able to build it on amd64 and build working prometheus image based on it.

Please let me know how I can contribute, I think this should be in separate repo just like the busybox.
