Hello,
I can calculation in the xy plane by ChElementShellANCF_3423.cpp.  But I can't calculation in the xz or yz plane or mixed plane by ChElementShellANCF_3423.cpp.  How to set up for calculation in the xz or yz plane or mixed plane?

Best,
Wenhui luo

Wenhui – what would you like to calculate?

The solution that you get in ChElementShellANCF_3423.cpp provides the time evolution of the nodal unknowns, which in this case are two per node – the position, and the gradient of the position with respect to the w coordinate (the w axis is defined in the reference configuration). The nodal unknowns are associated with the corners of the shell, and then all the other quantities, e.g., strain, stress, deformation gradient are evaluated based on these nodal unknowns, at *any* point in the entire volume occupied by the shell in the reference configuration.

Hello, I created a flat plate in the XZ plane. When a force in the Y direction is applied, the calculation result of displacement has a large error. At the same time, I created a flat plate in the XY plane,
and when a force in the Z direction is applied, there is basically no error in the calculation. I want to know what causes this situation, and how to improve it so that I can calculate the situation of the flat plate in the XZ plane
