Hi,

I am looking to try an input 3 dimensional text into a simulation I am running, and am wondering if there are any predefined libraries for 3d text for PyChrono. If there is not a library, I will just manually draw the shapes of text with glyphs.

To showcase why I want to do this, see the image of a block on an inclined plane below. I have already created a simulation for the block, but I want to display to the user different information on the forces/vectors and angles as I have outlined in the photo.

Let me know if you know of any libraries/ways to approach this!

Thanks,

Luke,

The current run-time visualization in Chrono (and hence PyChrono) is based on Irrlicht.  While there appear to be an Irrlicht function to render text at a given 3D location, that is not exposed through the Chrono interface to Irrlicht.

Okay, I ended up just displaying the text outside of the irrlicht window.

Thanks for your help!
Luke
