The FEM simulation will run on the CPU. In principle it should make no difference if you use Intel or AMD. The more cores & cache you have, the better.
The DEM code runs on the GPU - it doesn’t matter if you use Intel or AMD. The GPU has to be an NVIDIA GPU. The more recent the architecture, the better off you are. The amount of GPU memory dictates how large your DEM model can be. The RTX 40 series would be good, for instance RTX 4090 has a lot of memory and streaming multiprocessors. That would be great if you can find it/afford it.
