Engine Motor speed

Hallo!

I am currently using Sedan Vehicle module, and I am trying to access the Engine RPM but unable to do so, it is showing in the irrlicht display but when i am trying to access it, I get the following error

I am using the function my_sedan.GetVehicle().GetEngine().GetMotorSpeed()

can you please let me know , how i can access the engien Speed and Torque ?

Hi Yosanandan,

 

This would be the correct way of querying the engine speed. It is working fine in C++ (obviously, else you wouldn’t see the result in the visualization window) but there’s some missing elements in the SWIG interface files and the engine object is not properly exposed for PyChrono.  We’ll add this to our TODO list.
