Position: Hadoop Administrator
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: 12+Months
Interview Mode : Phone followed by Skype/In person Interview
This is a position for a Hadoop Administrator in the Analytics group.
· Total 10+ years of Experience
· Minimum 3 years of experience in Hadoop administration preferable with Hortonworks platform
· Experience in installing, upgrading, patching Hortonworks hadoop platform for both HDF & HDP platforms
· Experience in implementing and ongoing administration of Hadoop services such as YARN, MapReduce, HDFS, Phoenix, HBase, Zookeeper, Pig, and Hive, Spark2, Zeppelin, Kafka
· Configuring NiFi
· Experience with adding/removing nodes from Cluster
· Experience with Queue configuration
· Experience in Linux operating system with respect to hadoop & scripting
· Experience with the setup, configuration of Hadoop cluster security using Kerberos, Ranger
· Monitoring Hadoop cluster connectivity and performance
· Managing and analyzing Hadoop log files and suggesting the improvements
· Managing and monitoring OS file system with respect to hadoop
· Developing and documenting the configuration and best practices
· Communicating planned and unplanned outages
· Following organization’s standards and best practices
· Setting up new Hadoop users
· Installation and configuration any tools in the hadoop ecosystem
· Experience in capacity planning of hadoop clusters
· Experience in using Git to migrate the files from one cluster to another
· Experience with Isilon is plus
· Experience in Agile is plus
· Experience in Upgrading to HDP 3.1 is plus
· Experience in Cloud is plus
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or
engineering related field or Associate's degree with 2 years system
administration related experience or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years
system administration related experience.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years System Administration related
experience (in addition to any experience identified above).
Additional Information:
Licenses/Certifications: Technical certification in
administration technology field preferred, but not mandatory.
