Position: Full Stack Java Developer
Location: Des Moines, IA
Duration : 12 Months
Interview Mode : Phone followed by Skype
Overview:
This role will be on a scrum team who is working directly to support business systems and build out new features.
This is not project based work but rather will be picking up work along with the other engineers on a scrum team. This team will be primarily focused on systems that impact external participants/account holders of RIS. Work is prioritized and planned out for the scrum teams on a monthly basis and can be anything from building out brand new applications to defect resolution and technical debt cleanup.
Must Haves:
1. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Scrum teams are highly collaborative and also work closely with the business.
2. Proficient in Java and Spring
3. Experience working with REST APIs
Desired
1. Experience working in an Agile Scrum team and working with other roles including BAs or business partners.
2. Experience working with Java and Spring backend systems.
3. Experience with automated testing frameworks.
Responsibilities:
· Looking for full-stack candidates with 5+ years of experience working as an application developer with web and java technologies.
· Expectation is that candidate will be able to work within an agile methodology on a self-managed team.
· Strong communication skills and willingness to work with a team are required.
· This full-stack engineer will have more of a front-end development focus but will also have the opportunity to work with Java/Spring backend systems.
