Technical Business Analyst
We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with technical background with solid understanding of Database, Infrastructure and Data Management Platforms for the Data and Analytics team.
As a Technical Business Analyst you will help with the technical design of Data and Analytics solutions based on the business needs. You will work with business people documenting their requirements for new Data and Analytics structures that support their workflow and decision making. Based on the information you help with designing a data model that will satisfy the business needs and also conforms to the Data and Analytics Standards and Best Practices.
You work with other Technical Business Analysts, data experts, ETL developers, visualization designers and Data Scientists The ideal candidate for this role is always curious and analytical, and has a desire to learn about new technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Perform Analysis of data across platforms
• Problem-solving through data analysis
• Develop and support Source to Target Data mapping that outlines how to convert data from the source system to the target system
• Extract data from various systems and platforms and work with the team to convert it into actionable business insights
• Provide statistical and quantitative analysis and models to help reveal key trends and metrics in the data
• Connecting processes to business systems and databases to understand how processes and data are connected.
• Gathering data usage requirements from business users. Data can be used for analytics or to support business processes.
• Supporting the team creating and maintaining data models
• Collaborating with a team of experts
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or a degree in economics or business with a proven affinity with data and a business analyst mindset.
• This position requires to be Onsite 3 days a week in Office (in Philadelphia, PA)
• 8 + years of experience in IT industry with 4+ years as a Business Analyst focused on technology related projects preferably in the Data platforms
• Experience creating technical requirement documents through translation of business requirements
• Comfortable with Data concepts and database concepts, integration with Application layer
• Proficient in SQL programming language
• Proficiency in database design and creating Queries to Extract and Transform data
• ETL background, worked on ETL projects in the past.
• Good understanding of Data Mappings, Database concepts
• Understanding of Data Modelling and Data Analytics
• Excellent analytic skills
• Ability to work independently and work with cross functional team
• Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing
• Ambition to learn and a go getter
