About the role: The Aerospace & Defense division has a critical project on the table currently to migrate all their workstreams from Excel to SAP. These workstreams are broken into two different instances (classified and unclassified) requiring the architecture of their ERP to be built in a way that is both compliant and scalable over time in these two silos. The SAP BASIS Admin will be supported by other talented Architects on the team, but will be the knowledge expert on SAP, leading problem solving and strategy on how SAP can be configured. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a major initiative and support an exciting, challenging project!
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years technical experience in SAP S4/HANA BASIS performing architecture and implementation of defined SAP instances in an enterprise environment
- Deep understanding of infrastructure planning, sizing, and implementation of SAP S4/HANA for both classified AND unclassified data sets
- Must have supported or led a large scale project setting up a new SAP multi-tenant infrastructure with role based access
- Experience communicating and collaborating with business infrastructure and architecture teams to solve complex problems
- Understanding and experience working in or supporting the A&D (Aerospace and Defense) industry
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Local to Cincinnati, OH
- Understanding and experience working within AWS cloud infrastructure
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with infrastructure, architecture, and SAP teams to define infrastructure requirements, sizing and necessary setups for multi-tenant or defined classified/unclassified implementation
- Complete fresh installation on SAP on existing AWS cloud infrastructure as well as appropriate setups and associated setups/user dispositioning
- Create dev, QA SAP instances and perform necessary setups and software installations to implement unclassified and/or classified data SAP instance as appropriate in either on-prem or cloud environment.
- Define and setup transport methodology, security and path between non-prod and prod environments based on future landscape
- Suggest and recommend additional software/tools for enabling data security, SAP deployment optimization, transport management, etc.
