Job Title:      Azure Databricks Admin

Location:      100% Remote

Duration:     Long Term Contract

 

Job description

 

The Databricks SME will:

·  Provide expert solution options for Databricks architecture configuration(s) and maintain availability

·  Support the installation of upgrades and configuration of all Databricks shards

·  Develop/re-develop existing ETL code and Materialized Views and workflows into the modernized data pipeline

·  Monitor Databricks Cluster and query performance

·  Provide specifications and manage workflows for user access to Databricks datasets

·  Enhance ETL based on source system changes or evolving new requirements

·  Assist users with the development of analyses, reports, dashboards, stored procedures, portal pages, information maps, ETLs, data quality reports, and advanced analytical models

Experience Needed to Be Successful:

        .  15+ year of IT experience

·  At least 5 years of direct experience supporting a Databricks environment

·  Possess a proficient level of knowledge of multiple ETL Tools and methodologies

·  Strong working knowledge of and experience with the Agile Framework

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration across a variety of stakeholders and teams 

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

·  Familiarity with Azure/Cloud Technologies

·  Experience providing consulting services 

Basic Qualifiers:

·  Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

·  Can Additional Years of Experience Substitute for Degree? No

·  Required Certification(s): One of the following: Databricks Certified Professional, Azure Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Certified DevOps Engineer 

·  Minimum Years of Overall Experience: 7

·  Minimum Years of Specific Experience in Field: 5
