Job Title: Sybase Developer
Location: Raleigh ,NC (Onsite day 1)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
· 5-7 years of relevant Sybase Developer experience preferably in the Financial industry
· Strong experience working with waterfall and Agile/Kanban methodologies
· Extensive experience in writing complex stored procedures and triggers
· Good understanding of database design and normalization
· Good experience in writing Unix and Shell scripting
· Knowledge of Mongo DB, Oracle or Informatica an advantage
· Experience with financial applications (revenue/expense/GL) an advantage
· Ability to work independently and with others
· Good communication/collaboration skills
· Experience working with teams located in multiple sites
· Flexible with working hours as global teams are involved
Responsibilities
· Debugging and troubleshooting experience with database queries, stored procedures, triggers, shell scripts, etc.
· Participate in daily scrum calls
· Execute and handle database objects, views, procedures, indexes and file system structure
· Conduct knowledge transfer session for Support team prior to release
· Assist and support production installations
· Provide day-to-day support for production issues
