Location : New York, NY

Administer production, beta, development and internal (support) databases. • Review and Implement Datagaurd • Install, upgrade and patch database instances in all environments as required. • Ensure availability of databases in accordance with service level agreements. • Performing backup & recovery as well as disaster recovery scenarios • Support and install software in the production, beta and development environments. • Engage in forward looking research aimed at increasing efficiency of database services. • Monitor database performance and tune database and applications as necessary (home grown scripts, Grid Control, etc…). • Enforce, and where necessary, make recommendations to enhance, change management principles and policies. • Correct problems in databases quickly and correctly. • Develop, document and maintain standards, procedures and processes. • Mentoring/training of technical knowledge to other DBAs • Capacity planning for the Database environments
