Role : Ruby on Rails Senior Developer
Location : Northbrook, IL
Rate: $40-$42/hr
Visa : NO H1 Transfers
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
Mandatory Skills:
1. Ruby on rails (practitioner and not beginner)
2. RDBMS experience (practitioner and not beginner)
3. Experience developing on any cloud
4. Understanding of Micro Services architecture
Preferred Skills:
1. DevOps Understanding (Continuous Build and Deployment)
2. Azure container services and orchestration or equivalent on any other cloud platform
3. Postgres RDBMS; PL/SQL
4. Jira/any other scrum tool exposure. Should be experienced in working in sprints
Job Roles/Responsibilities:
1. Senior developer and coordinate between client and offshore
2. Participate in daily agile Sprint process.
3. Use Jira to track development work and progress and report to client
4. Test developed code from both technical and experience perspective
5. Adhere to client and Cognizant's processes and procedures
