Location : Onsite Lynchburg - VA

Visa :  NO H1 Transfers

Job Roles / Responsibilities:       

As an Administrator the successful candidate will be personally responsible for:
• Maintain and develop Linux infrastructure technology to maintain for an Engineering Lab
• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
• Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware

Mandatory Skills
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 to 8 years of prior relevant experience - Linux/Windows Admin
• Experience with windows server administration
• Experience with Linux administration
• Experience with Virtual Machine setups and maintenance
• In depth knowledge of Linux: Redhat, centOs, Debian, etc.
• Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
• Strong problem solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills
• Experience with maintaining Engineering Lab equipment ( Servers, workstations, network switches etc.)
• Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage
• Experience with protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
• Hands on experience with Databases like MySql
