Location : Cary, NC
Visa : NO H1 Transfers
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
8 years of experience as a Java/J2EE, HTML5, Spring, Angular, JQuery, DevOPS, WebLogic and REST Services.
·Minimum of 4 years of prior Lead experience on complex programs.
· Excellent Communication Skills, prior experience in handling the customer relationship/Technical Project management responsibilities.
· Extensive experience with J2EE technologies, object-oriented programming concepts, and multi-tiered distributed applications
· Experience in developing web application using Spring Framework and knowledge of design patterns
· Experience using web development Frameworks including HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX and JQuery ,Spring MVC, Angular and REST services
· Experience within an Agile development methodology
· Exposure in FreeMarkerTemplate (FTL) is a plus.
· Exposure to DevOPS Engineering Practices will be added advantage.
· Exposure to tools like Rational, RTC, Splunk, build scripts.
· Knowledge and awareness of ESB,Data power, SAML, OMNI, MDM .
· Design, develop and maintain critical applications in J2EE environment.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of SOA and layered architectures.
· Good experience in writing JUnit/Spock/Groovy based test cases.
· Good troubleshooting skills including cross browser and accessibility issues
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems
· Well versed with Web services development and deployment using Java/J2EE technologies.
· Prior experience with Retirement products or Insurance industry preferred.
· Solid understanding and adaptability to Agile methodologies and experienced on translating business stories/epics into quality web services code.
· Able to interact with Customer and provide timely and prompt updates to business, manager and other stake holders.
· Responsible for writing application code and development activities for several large projects.
· Deliver quality code and exhibit expertise in analysis, development & unit testing in a complex application environment, leveraging resources within and outside the team as necessary
· Develops, maintains, and communicates processes and standard practices related to the design, development, and implementation of application solutions and patterns
· Analyzes and estimates feasibility, time, and resources needed to develop, and implement application systems for several projects.
· Maintain a focus on quality, attention to detail, communication and delivery to tight timescales.
· Mentor and ensure quality deliverables from Junior developers
· Read and understand written business requirements and use case documents. Develop and propose technical designs and other documentation as necessary.
· Lead and contribute to technical design sessions both internally and with clients. Proactively communicate design decisions and issues.
Lead other developers in small projects or sub-sets of work on larger projects.
· Performing and aiding in performance testing.
· Follow all internal compliance guidelines and practices including the updating of internal incident tracking software.
· Working with other teams, analyzing requirements and writing Technical Design Documents.
· Taking lead in all the work with minimum supervision.
· Excels at working collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts
