Job Description:

Information Security Analyst

The IT Security team is seeking a security professional with hands on experience in Office 365 products, cloud security, data retention strategies, and third party risk to ensure migration of email and collaboration tools from on-prem to cloud is designed and implemented with the appropriate security controls.  NBME is also upgrading our Citrix desktop environments, and the security of the new Citrix desktops must be verified for security.

POSITION DUTIES

• Participate in the exploration and evaluation of Office 365 for Exchange Online and other solutions (e.g., Collaboration, Mobility, etc.). Identify and document security requirements based on NBME security policies and industry standards.
• Understand the Use Cases and potential security threats associated with moving to Office 365, and research and recommend mitigating controls. 
• Collaborate with the project team on the design of appropriate security controls, configurations, etc. in Office 365.
• Analyze currently used features in Proofpoint targeted attack protection solution and compare with other Office 365 Exchange Online compatible solutions to recommend best solution to minimize email malware threats for NBME's use cases.
• Identify areas where policies need to be created (e.g., data retention for email, etc.), and bring forward recommendations to close the gaps.
• Document proposed policy and obtain input from the Data Privacy & Security Task Force on policy recommendations.
• Verify security requirements are accurately implemented through an assessment of new technology configurations (applies to Exchange Online, Citrix desktops).
• Report and track vulnerabilities and risks.

REQUIREMENTS

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated ability to navigate across departmental boundaries to obtain consensus and support from all stakeholders so as to meet project deadlines.
• Experience with email policy and standards to minimize email malware threats.

• Experience with Office 365 security configurations and best practices.
• Ability to analyze currently used feature sets of existing solutions, evaluate against other technology solutions, and make rationalized recommendations.
• Experience with the Cloud Security Alliance and best practices related to cloud security controls.
• Experience with data retention policy and implementation.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• CISSP or CISA
