Below is the job description for your consideration:Role: Sr Kubernetes Engineer
Location: Atlanta/Mason/Richmond/Thousand Oaks
Should know Kubernetes in & out and not be an Admin
Essential Qualifications
· Experience deploying and operating k8s at scale. (OpenShift Preferred)
· Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2; ELB; ALB; Route53; IAM EKS & S3) required.
· Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex network topologies.
· Excellent understanding of SDLC and how containerization change the CI/CD
· Ability to Automate Infrastructure through scripting (Python; Go preferred)
· Experience interacting with customers in-person and remotely; driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs; standard methodologies; project management and risk mitigation
· Strong practical Linux-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment required
· 24/7 On-call rotation.
· You automate all things using code (Bash; Python; Go; etc…)
Desired Qualifications
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business; product; and technical challenges
· Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
· Leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments
· Configuration management using Terraform
· Experience leading data center/cloud/K8 operations; including data Containerization(docker) assurance; monitoring; alerting and notifications
· Experience with balancing self-service freedom against enterprise-grade governance and controls.
· Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies is a plus
· Software development background is a plus
· Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security; PCI compliance; privacy etc.)
· You had a look into projects like Project Calico; Prometheus; Ceph; etc
