Role: DB2 LUW Database Administrator
Location: Merrimack, NH
Duration: long term
Notes: Looking for a DB2 LUW DBA with Oracle DBA expeirence. This will be on Redhat Linux - preferably looking for 11.5 experience.
Responsibilities
· DB2 LUW software installation, configuration and maintenance of the database environments, Development, UAT and Production
· Monitoring of DB2 LUW environments
· Performance analysis and tuning of the DB2 LUW
· Create, modify and maintain DB2 LUW Database and technology process flow diagrams and support procedures
· Ability to communicate effectively with team members and collaborate on operation requirements
· Assist in migration and integration of data and processes from legacy systems to new applications and new technologies.
· Coordinates with the other team members on issues taking care of the quality flaws of the existing standards, especially security and performance issues.
The Expertise You Have
· DB2 LUW database administration on Redhat Linux
· DB2 LUW experience in SQL performance analysis and tuning
· Experience with DB2 LUW HADR implementations and operations
· Experience in Redhat Linux OS, Virtual servers and shell scripting
· Experience in DB2 LUW database replication methods
· Experience with DB2 LUW version 11.1 11.5
· Experience with DB2 support tools: IBM DSM
· In-depth knowledge of Oracle (12c, 19c - a plus)
· In-depth knowledge of Oracle RAC, DataGuard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and RMAN
· Knowledge of high availability, Golden Gate replication, and disaster recovery architectures.
· Solid understanding of Unix/ Linux platforms and operating systems including scripting, editors, etc.
· Superb communication, presentation, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong abstract thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrated ability to deliver business and technical value.
· Provide mentorship to team members.
