Job Title: Sr. Automation Engineer

Location: Richfield, MN (Need Locals)

Duration: 12+ months contract

Role and Responsibilities

Project Description:

In this role, you will be a critical member of the Commerce Platform team. This team’s vision is to provide customer a highly reliable and stable commerce platform that powers eCommerce cart and checkout experiences. You will partner with BSAs, Product Managers and Engineers to validate the applications against the requirements.

Position Summary/Job Description:

- Design, build, test, deploy and maintain automated functional tests in collaboration with Engineering and DevOps

- Partner with Test Data Management team to prepare test data for various business features

- Gain broad understanding of the system/domain and upstream/downstream dependencies

- Research, recommend, and implement tools to increase automation coverage of existing and new products/features

- Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness

What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?

- You have 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer developing test automation scripts using Java/Groovy, Spring, Cucumber, Spock, JUnit, Gradle/Maven, SQL/NoSQL databases,

- You have a good understanding of RESTful APIs

- You understand how web sites and mobile apps interact with backend APIs

- You can write Java/Groovy code to interact with APIs, databases, and messaging systems

- You understand CI/CD process and knows how to integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines

What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?

- 3+ years working in an agile team

- Understanding of Jenkins, JMeter/Gatling, WireMock

- Atlassian software development and collaboration tools (BitBucket, Jira etc.)

- Functional test automation of eCommerce applications

- Retail domain experience
