Job Title: BigData Architect with Cloudera
Location: San Ramon, CA
Long term
Primary Responsibilities
· Design conceptual data architecture solution for data-centric projects
|
· Prepare and maintain accurate database design and architectural documents for management and development teams. · Play a lead role in the development and update of enterprise data architectural strategies, standards, processes and tools. · Participate in the development of data management policies, standards and procedures. · Design and implement effective data solutions and models to store and retrieve data. · Design canonical data models to limit technical debt as data flows from point-to-point transformation. · Define integrated views of data drawing draw together data from across the enterprise, both in real-time and as extracts. · Write SQL queries against relational databases (Oracle, SQL Serve etc.…) · Building multi-dimensional databases, cubes, and data warehouses · Designing and developing data pipelines or ETL processes · Experience in tuning queries for performance and scalability |
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· 7 or more years of data strategy and architecture related experience
· Expert in SQL programming AND Hands-on experience in Python
· Experience with traditional ETL integration tools as well as more modern real-time messaging/integration platforms
· Experience with relational database modeling concepts AND modeling for the modern big data platform
·
Strong understanding of Operational, Relational,
Analytical, Master, and Reference data models
Deep understanding of data transfer formats such as XML, JSON, and Avro
· Understanding of Cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Knowledge of NoSQL
· Experience in Big data technology stack - Hadoop, MapReduce HBase, and Hive
· Experience with Data visualization tools such as PowerBI
Nice to have
· Applied Math and Statistics
· Knowledge of event-driven architecture
