Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining information security systems including firewall systems, virtual private network systems, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), authentication systems, security information management systems, content management systems and antimalware systems in private, public and hybrid Cloud Computing Environments.  Assists the Sr Director of Network Security Engineering in developing tactical and strategic solutions, policies, and procedures related to cloud computing.  Provides off-hours support for cloud information security systems

 

 

1. Provides information security subject matter expertise in support of projects sponsored by business units and other departments.
2. Design and implement secure workloads and infrastructure on Google Cloud.
3. Expert level understanding of security best practices and industry security requirements
4. Designs, develops, and manages a secure infrastructure leveraging Google security technology.
5. Proficient in all aspects of cloud security including identity and access management, defining organizational structure and policies, using Google technologies to provide data protection, configuring network security defenses, collecting and analyzing Google Cloud logs, managing incident responses, and demonstrating an understanding of the application of dynamic regulatory considerations.
6. Experience with attacks and mitigation methods, with experience working in two or more of the following:

·       Network protocols and secure network design.

·       Operating system internals and hardening (e.g. Windows, Linux, OS X, Android).

·       Web application and browser security; Security assessments and penetration testing.

·       Authentication and access control.

·       Applied cryptography and security protocols.

·       Security monitoring and intrusion detection.

·       Incident response and forensics.

·       Development of security tools, automation or frameworks.

7. Configure access controls and roles within a cloud solution environment.
8. Configure network security with a cloud solution environment
9. Ensure data protection within a cloud solution environment.
10. Manage operations within a cloud solution environment.
11. Ensures that system implementations conform to established company security standards and/or industry best practices.
12. Serves as project manager for small to medium projects sponsored by the Network Security Engineering department.
13. Conducts laboratory and pilot evaluations of security technologies.
14. Provides cloud security consulting services to business units and departments.
15. Performs cloud security assessments of proposed, new and existing systems.
16. Administers and maintains various security systems under within a cloud solution environment
17. Maintains support relationships with cloud service providers vendors
18. Processes Service Desk tickets assigned to the IPNT Security team.  Responsible for problem resolution.
19. Develops documentation including operations manuals, runbooks, procedures, and problem resolutions.

 

 

Hands on experience with the following security technologies:

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• GCP Firewall
• GCP Cloud Armor
• GCP Load Balancing
• GCP App Engine and App Engine Firewall
• GCP Networking including VPC, Shared VPN, VPC Peering, Private Service Connect
• GCP Security Command Center.
