Hello:

I am excited to share that through our partnership with Play Story Press, the Professors at Play PlayBooks will now be a part of the permanent collection at the Strong Museum of Play. This is a cool milestone for this group, and I'd like to give a big shout-out to everyone who has contributed to the PlayBook series so far!

And a huge THANK YOU to PSP founder Drew Davidson for making this happen. Here are a few details from Drew:

Play Story Press is thrilled to announce that all of our current and future publications will be collected in the Brian Sutton-Smith Library and Archives of Play at The Strong National Museum of Play.

Our catalog resonates with the Strong’s exploration of how play encourages learning, creativity, and discovery, illuminating cultural history. This is such an honor for all involved with the press. We wouldn’t exist without you all sharing our vision, and sharing your work through Play Story Press.

Huge thanks for sharing this amazing news, and for everything you did to help make it happen! Having the Play Story Press land a spot in the Strong Museum of Play is just incredible. Thank you so much for your energy and championing of this work for time immemorial, and in helping us connect to such a platform. Massive shout-out as well to Drew and the rest of the PSP Team for opening the door and cheering us on. What a fantastic milestone for all in this playful community that you have built!
From Barcelona, Un abrazo, Ed

This is awesome news, and congrats!

I went to Rochester recently for the Serious Play Conference, and was at the Strong a few times for events.  But my regret is that I didn't know they had an archival library until AFTER I came home.   What a treasure trove of research!  I'd love to visit just for that alone.

Thank you Paul!  I'll have to check that out!

(And side note: for those that haven't had the chance to attend a Serious Play Conference, seriously consider it! https://seriousplayconf.com/)
