Hi,

Every now and then this strange thing happens where I can't run pretext view web: I get a warning that "PID still exists but it's a zombie (pid=...)". I have looked at running processes, tried killing everything in sight but have not been successful. The only thing that I have found to solve this is a reboot and I'd love to have a less time consuming way.

Thanks- Petra

Two things you could try: run `pretext view -r` or `pretext view -s` to restart/stop the server (respectively).  Alternatively, you could just ask for a new port using `pretext view -p 8011` for example.  Let me know if either of these work, and I'll try to get those better automated or at least documented.

Thanks, Oscar! I tried all of these but the message remains the same (the zombie one). I’ll go for a reboot…

Thanks- Petra
