I don't think this issue is related to the other spacing thread because it's very specific, but it does involve something being mysteriously pushed to the right, so who knows.

If you try options A, B, or C to Task a, I put a matrix in `<me>` inside the feedback.  I saw that there was `<me>` in feedback in the sample book, so I wasn't expecting any trouble with this.

But the right bracket of the matrix appears too far to the right. I tried with a matrix of all numbers and the same problem occurs, so it's not the asterisks.  It only seems to occur in `<me>` tags (not `<m>`) and only in feedback, not in a statement, solution, subsection text, etc.

I upgraded to 2.30.2 to make sure that wasn't the issue, but the problem persisted.

Super weird to me, but in Task d, choice D I have a matrix in `<me>` in feedback where I've boxed some of the entries.  The right bracket on that matrix is fine.

Both were constructed in the same way other than the boxed elements.  https://github.com/Tanaquil18/matrixcalculations/blob/main/source/sec-LUdecomposition.ptx The activity itself starts at line 78, and task d, option D's feedback starts at line 345.

Here is what I see:

Are you seeing something different?

If so, what browser are you using?

To see the weird spacing you need to pick a wrong answer and look at the feedback.

Thanks Sean - didn't read close enough.

Chrissy -

It looks like you are making an extra column unintentionally.

The <me> samples have this:

.. \\ * \amp * \amp 0 \amp \\ ...

That has 3 separators and thus a 4th blank column.

The <m> samples do not.

Hah, well that will do it! Looks like only in 1 row, but that's enough. And I copy-pasted and modified, and so I continued to see it every time.

Thank you!
