Hello,

Is anyone interested in a bike ride at 7am or 8am? I don't have a preference to start from either Porter Park or Mahomet. I'm planning on riding 45 miles at average 15mph pace. Let me know if you're interested and if you have a preference.

I'm also thinking about signing up for the KMC Sage City Classic 100k ride in Monticello, IL on Aug 22nd. Let me know if anyone's interested in joining and riding together. Below is a link for more info:

Thanks,
Jaime

I am definitely interested in such a ride!  Living 3.5 miles from Porter Park, that is my preferred start.  On the other hand, starting from "Mahomet" could be a convenient  starting point for a ride along the Sangamon to Monticello and back and possibly including Allerton Park and/or a stop at Brown Bag.
Let's wait for the reply from others...
BTW, if you could please excuse the email abuse, I took the liberty off CC:-ing another group eager to do such a ride this weekend...
Thanks!

I would be interested in an 8 am ride from Porter Park. 15 mph may be difficult for me

Interested too but, like John, 15 mph might be too fast for me. Prefer Porter start.

I’m hoping Sue Jones will announce a ride starting at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana for tomorrow as per usual. Otherwise I’ll join you.

Hi All,

Based on everyone's feedback, I have decided to ride from Porter Park to Allerton Park and back. That should give us ~45 miles.

Start time: 7:30am
Starting location: Porter Park
Route: Porter Park to Allerton and back
Pace: Average 15mph

Hope to see you there!

For those that wants to ride at a slower pace, I believe Sue leads a slower ride on Saturdays at Meadowbrook Park.

Thanks,
Jaime

Some us are all planning to be dropped from the beginning.  14 mph is fine!

Weather guess claims rain ending ~8:00.  My plan now is to (GASP!) drive to Porter, wait, and see what others who show up decide...
