Position: Software Development Test Engineer

Location: Newark, CA

Software Development Test Engineer (Newark, CA

RMS is looking for experienced SDETs with strong software testing skills and experience in developing and enhancing test automation frameworks. You will be developing unit, integration, functional and stress tests that help guarantee the software quality. you must be proficient in java and have worked on testng, junit or similar unit/integration testing frameworks. As a SDET, you will understand the end to end functionality of the system and design/create test plan, test scenarios, test cases & test data, you will lead testing efforts of individual module from beginning till end. This role requires you to work closely with the development, product management teams.

Required Experience and Skills:

? 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test ? Expertise in developing automation in at least one of the OO languages - Java, C# ? Strong knowledge of Automation Frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG and Selenium ? Experience using TestNG & Junit for testing microservices or Rest APIs ? Experience with SQL, NoSQL is a plus ? Experience with Manual and automation testing.

? Experience with coffee scripting is a plus ? Demonstrated experience in test framework design and development ? Strong skills in troubleshooting ? Experience in working within Agile / Scrum teams

Required experience and skills:

. Expertise in Java and Scala

. Expertise in cluster computing technologies such as Apache Spark or Hadoop MapReduce

. Familiarity with relational and big data such as Postgres, HDFS, Aurora, Dynamo and similar technologies

. Familiarity with Git and build automation tools such as Maven

. Strong skills in analytic computing and algorithms

. Strong mathematical background, including statistics and numerical analysis

. Knowledge of advanced programming concepts such as memory management, files & handles, multi-threading and operating systems

. Experience in unit testing techniques

. Passion for finding and solving problems

. Excellent communication skills, proven ability to convey complex ideas to others in a concise and clear manner

. Software Development Life Cycle experience including planning, designing, development, testing and debugging. Proven track record of on-time delivery

. Master of Science in Computer Science or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with 5 or more years' experience.

Desirable experience and skills:

. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R

. Familiarity with notebook technologies such as Apache Zeppelin or Jupyter

. Experience in performance measurement, bottleneck analysis, and resource usage monitoring
