Network Engineer (802.11g)
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: 6 Months+
Rate: $45/Hr
Candidate submitted will need to have an active LinkedIn profile
Must have
a minimum of 8-years work experience in Wi-Fi Planning, Design, and analysis.
Familiar with 802.11 standards and Wi-Fi alliance developments. Experience with
RF planning tools is must.
• Deep understanding of IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax networks.
• Expertise with public Wi-Fi design for large scale networks
• Expert level understanding of site survey, predictive design and post design
validation using Ekahau (ECSE preferred)
• Integrate knowledge of building construction, RF behavioral characteristics
and current hardware vendor limitations to create a design proposal
• Ability to understand Physical and Data-link layer media properties and
implications
• Expert level understanding of various antenna types, their uses and demerits
• Ability to transform and Geo process data using the post processing tools
such as QGIS, MapInfo, and ArcMap based on Geographic locations.
• Familiarity with Link Budget and the RF Design Guidelines.
• Working expertise in creating propagation models and designs minimizing
coverage holes and interference
• Expert level understanding of geo data processing and creating design and
coverage around any hindrances
• Familiarity with capacity planning, subscriber and demand forecast
• Familiarity with packet capture and analysis is a plus
• Ability to work with multiple stake holders including but not limited to
product owners, operations, vendors, other engineering teams
