Job Title: IVR Senior Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite weekly), candidate should be in the vicinity of Alpharetta, GA or SF/Oakland/Rancho, CA.

Type: Contract

 

This position requires IVR knowledge at architect level. The candidate will be responsible for the design and analysis of software projects, coordination, creation and socialization of the conceptual approach document on strategic business initiatives, documentation standards, system architecture best practices and current system architecture documentation for their respective domain. The position is also responsible for collaborating with partner teams, enterprise architecture and development teams on best practices, guidelines and standards as well as evangelizing Technology transformation initiatives. This position is responsible for providing expertise and direction to Leadership when discussing strategic projects, design and application initiatives as well as providing high level estimates for the purpose of business case creation.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Performs complex systems analysis and solution design on software applications

Performs coordination, creation and socialization of the conceptual approach document for new business initiatives

Collaborates with the enterprise architecture and development teams to assure strategy alignment and utilize common components where applicable within the application.

Acts as an expert technical mentor to other members of the development teams and business users.

Understands normal business constraints (resources, budget, and legacy technology) and actively develop creative solutions within this framework to address these limitations.

Participates and leads in code reviews to identify errors in the development phase that will lessen product vulnerabilities as well as improve the quality of the software.

Assists with deep technical problem determination during system outage events and work with operational team to quickly evaluate and implement resolution paths.

QUALIFICATIONS

7+ w/bachelors degree

Additional Experience and Education

BS in computer science or equivalent technical field or equivalent work experience.  MS is a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Eight or more years of IVR technical/functional design experience related to application implementation and software development.

Five or more years of experience with IVR software design/development resulting in strong knowledge of the application framework.

Expert level technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation.

Expert level knowledge in Object Oriented Design.

Experience with Agile Development and working with vendor teams.

Exceptional communication skills.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Excellent documentation skills including conceptual, logical and physical diagrams.

Must have worked on one or more IVR System including but not limited to Nuance, Genesys, Avaya and Cisco

Highly experienced with varies system integrations, solution planning, implementation, configuration, system maintenance, and software programming on the telephony system, which is tightly integrated with SIP Trunks, Call Routing System, CRM applications, Database and Data Warehouse

Provide expertise for IVR call flows, menu selections, voice prompts and calls dispositions

Must have worked on various methodologies to improve IVR containment

Must be familiar with NLU modelling

Should be familiar with Omnichannel capabilities by leveraging Chat configurations

Must have prior experience working with SOAP and REST APIs

Provide ongoing evaluation of processes and procedures, and drive improvements in area operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers

Leverage technology to maximize support for delivering best in-class Customer Service

Identifies performance and expectation gaps and facilitates resolution

Knowledge across multiple platforms, integration patterns, processes, data/domain models, and architectures

Provides expert technical consultation to senior IT management strategic planning groups

Leads the design of solutions with high complexity and risk with business area implications

Fosters and engages in teamwork at all technical levels and across the business lines
