Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Austin, TX

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Branding, marketing, and executing business documents related to communications, marketing, and IT end user relations
• Increase internal adoption through gathering and disseminating information for identified news-worthy events, project updates, product initiatives, and pertinent changes within the organization
• Able to use Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to create and maintain documents
• Experience with SharePoint, Box, OneDrive, Drupal, MS Suite, and other marketing-related infrastructure as required
• Experience as a technical writing, authoring business documents to executive staff
• Experience with information technology systems, organizations, or initiatives

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Create and maintain communications regarding the organization’s strategic plan and IT-related efforts
• Creating and updating SharePoint articles and pages for updates
• Sending regular correspondence to large organization staff concerning tech updates

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

Years	Skills/Experience
5	Promote technical advances and updates digitally for all divisions in OAG CSD-IT
5	Working knowledge of digital newsletter creation
5	Knowledge and command of communication including technical writing, email correspondence, and blast memos
5	Strong skills in creating word drafts and converting to PDF as well as embedding into SharePoint sites
5	People skills conducive to working in a team environment
5	Expert in developing strategies for campaigns to assist with pushing updates to staff in an effective manner

 

Preferred:

Years	Skills/Experience
5	Experience with Cloud infrastructure, OneDrive technology, SharePoint
5	Technical content understanding to include basic concepts of infrastructure, IT, operations, and project management
5	Knowledge of Agile project delivery methods, tools, concepts
