Although ironically, they didn’t make big money from relatively-recent touring until they made new albums.  I saw them a few years back pre-Prelude Implicit for free, they’re not doing that any more

Was interesting (and made me feel better) to see him describe touring and playing live as the fun part of things anyway.  Some artists find touring a grind (and only a grind) and I'd kind of felt bad if they felt the need to do something they no longer wanted to do.

So it makes me happy to know that Rich, at least, still is having a good time playing live.  Though he might prefer it without the attendant travel. :)

Well, but somehow they might have got paid for free shows.

Otherwise, why should they do this??

If not the musicians themselves, everyone else such as roadies, soundcrew, light engineer,

security, hotel cost, food and drinks etc. is asking to be paid.

Moreover, if the band is selling their latest albums at shows, they possibly might earn more money

doing this than selling old Sony items where their conditions might have been not that overwhelming.

Yeah, they seem to be doing quite well these days.

I don't think he minds too much since they only do weekend shows now. Certainly better than the old school bus with no heat from the old days.
