I just realized that I will not be here for the next Shenandoah Harmony singing. I will be on my way to Denver for their convention. We will either have to change the date, or venue or cancel because the space cannot be used by a group unless someone living in Ankeny Row is present.
Any suggestions for preferences from y’all?

Sorry,
Betsy

I’m also out of town 3rd Thursday in July.

Maybe it’s best to skip July and let everyone do their vacation thing.

Sacred Harp vacations -- vacating of the home square -- happen all year round.  Maybe the 2nd or 4th Thursday?

I should be in town and available to attend on the fourth Thursday, not the second.

Hi all,

I could host the Shenandoah singing in my living room, which can fit 12 people pretty easily. (If I remember right, that's about the attendance we get, right?)

That could also be a placeholder solution while we look for a more public space.

Nell

It was unusual (at least in my experience), but we had around 20 people last night!

Just for counting purposes, I'll be gone 3rd Thursday too. Around the rest of the month.

I’ve read all the comments and thank you all. It seems that canceling for July is sensible, but if Nell wants to proceed with a home singing on the 3rd Thursday, that’s fine too. She is located in North Portland and easy to get to for most. She can let you know any definite plan over the next few weeks.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
