In the section on color, does anyone know how the numbers on the left hand side of the color charts relate to the right hand hex code?
For example, the spec talks about the '500' range being primary, what does this 500 refer to? Can't be wavelength, doesn't look like it has anything to 
do with HSL or HSV or RGB or anything else like that.
Also, what's the deal with colors prefixed by an 'A'?

We asked this question and the answer was that those numbers are arbitrary designations used to provide a way of naming, similar in spirit to Pantone numbers.
