Hi all nice people there!

I am interested to join Polymer team as a volunteer. 

I would like to create some gulp tasks for Polymer specifically to make it stronger in support different needs of different teams and project as well as the development team which I am leading here in Stockholm.

I don't speak for the team, however I have the following thoughts
regarding this and similar requests.

I don't believe the Polymer project will respond to out-of-the-blue
access requests, nor do I feel they should freely give-out write
permissions. Expecting to get access without either being employed by
Google specifically to work on the project, or having a proven track
record of high-quality work on the project, is naive at best.

The project is publicly accepting pull-requests on GitHub, so feel
free to fork the repository you want to work on and submit a PR when
you have changes that you want to share.

Such is the way of the Open Source life style, it really could not be said better. Once you submit your first pull request the Bot will prompt you through the CLA process for you to give permission for your contribution to be included in the code base proper.

You may want to start this process by opening bugs/feature requests on the appropriate repository and then following up with your pull request to fix/implement it.
