Polymer Datatabes.net Print And Export Buttons not displaying

Good Morning,

 

I have been working on trying to get the DataTables.NET Print and Exports buttons to display inside my Polymer App for about 4 hours now. I feel like I have it narrowed down pretty far but wanted to put a quick consult into you.

 

So the button are declared properly in the JSON object:

 

buttons: [

                        "copyHtml5",

                        "excelHtml5",

                        "pdfHtml5",

                        'print'

                    ]

 

But do not render. I tried serval things and had no joy. I did a bunch of R&D on the Datatables website and created the attached (Testing.html). Works perfectly. I modified my Polymer app to use the same open internet references and table as the attached sample but no buttons show. I feel like at this point something somewhere inside the Polymer framework is overriding or preventing the buttons from displaying. I have modified the crap out of my local file and have attached it you so can see what I am testing and seeing.

 

Any Help would be greatly Appreciated.

It's hard to say what's going on without know what datatables is trying to do. Generally my advice is to not try to use jQuery or jQuery plugins inside of Polymer elements as most plugins don't know how to work with Shadow DOM
