Does this project not work on kali linux chrome 35?

I am trying to learn the polymer following the tutorials but i get stuck as i don't get the effects as seen in the tutorials.

The paper-tabs don't work

I am using kali linux 1.0.6 with Google Chrome 35.

Please, any help on that?

You need a more recent version of Chrome that supports web components. 37 preferably, though 36 will work for the most part.
