Hey Sam,

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do, but the question seems more appropriate for Stack Overflow. Node isn't an environment we're supporting right now.

If you're interested in using the polyfills with Node, some folks have ported them to npm:

Hi Eric!

I am trying to open the polymer html files that were installed inside of the bower_components directory on my windows 7 machine. For instance there are several of them inside of the polymer-animation folder but they will not run just by viewing them in my chrome browser. Im sure Im doing something wrong :(

Hi Sam,

Are you using cygwin or some kind of unix terminal emulator for Windows?

No I installed Node and bower by command line. Basically I just want to start building polymer apps on my windows machine that is what it boils down to.

Which file are you trying to open?

C:/Polymer/bower_components/polymer-grid-layout/demo.html

its just a blank page and 95% of them are like that.

You need to serve that Polymer directory from a local server. You can use XAMPP or WAMP to set one up on Windows

Hi Sam,

Node.js is only required for installing bower as instructed in bower.io page. After that, you need to user bower command to install Polymer (http://www.polymer-project.org/docs/start/getting-the-code.html)  in your local drive. Then you install elements. So say, your directory structure becomes E:\Sam\Tutorial\Polymer\Codebase\bower_components.

Now go to 'polymer-animation' directory and run demo.html page. In all these bower_components folder, you need to run demo.html.

Hope, it will help,

Thanks,
Pulak
