Just discovered how powerful WCT testing is.  Should have been doing it a long time ago.  We use 100% Polymer for SPAs without any other frameworks.

Seems there would be a need for examples of how to test typical features of a Polymer App or element.  Does such a guide exist?

I would think the tests of the polymer components would function as an excellent guide... I'm not 100% certain but I also believe that their demo apps (like shop) come with tests as well.

There's an older guide here: https://docs-05-dot-polymer-project.appspot.com/0.5/articles/unit-testing-elements.html

I too would look at the elements to see the latest features. We really need a new guide :/

Wow! great help.  Truly a wealth of examples in the elements.  Thanks.

That guide is what got me started, and its good.  I come from a different background and am unfamiliar with web testing tools in general (and have resisted learning for some time).  Hoping to get very familiar with the tools soon.  Polymer CLI, with WCT and the Polymer docs got me started and made me feel like an honest programmer again.

Then I wanted to write meaningful tests for login in an app using google authentication through firebase.  We'll get it done, but somebody has to have done it already.  Next we'll want to test passing ~5000 items to an iron-list and check for events firing properly, etc...  Its not all laser sounds.
