I'm looking to make resizable components (paper-dialogs) and thought i might use the css property "resize:both;" and it works okay in chrome.

The problem is that the interior elements do not respond to the resize, and i dont think the standard dome even fires an even when elements are resized. jquery has a solution, but it doesnt really play nice with polymer in my experience.

I would really like a resizable component that i could surround my cards with (no real ideas about how it could be done) similar to core-drag-drop, but short of that does any one know a workaround?

That raises an interesting edge-case bug - in chrome:

click the button in stack overflow to run the code, and resize the red area beyond the containing element's dimensions and let go of the mouse while the pointer is outside the containing element. if it behaves how I'm seeing the mouseup event doesn't get fired so the red element is resized but the reported dimensions don't update to match.

Got the same Dan, fortunately this is avoidable in my implementation. CSS resize is not supported (except for w/ text area) by ie so I may make an element using mouse events exclusively, and maybe core-drag-drop. Thanks for the heads up!
