Fwiw, we merged this already.

We are working on Chrome apps too, we have some CSP issues to resolve there.

Relevant pull request https://github.com/Polymer/HTMLImports/pull/11. I'm curious to see if this lands as I'd be interested in using local files within Chrome apps.

I remember there being a number of interesting CSP issues (I think) Angular had to work around too. Looking forward to apps support :) Thanks Scott!

I want to use Polymer for my mobile web apps, i think its great.

On my first tests:
1. Buiding the Polymer Starter Kit with Phonegap Buider (build.phonegap.com) on my Android, the homepage is not shown but the menu links works
2. If i add iron-ajax, on my Android, the menu links give the error net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (file:///users)

I've used Polymer (0.5) with phonegap on Android (but it was a while ago). I don't remember running into any great difficulties and it worked just fine. It was as snappy as anything. I'm sure 1.0 is even better.

I've generated an APK from the Android Starter Kit on Polymer 1.0 and Cordova and it worked great.

Yes i used it with Cordova for IOS and Android.
Work great for me. Was very easy too.

I saw a few gulp scripts to integrate the two, but i went the easy route and just wrote a bash script, that calls the npm modules that do 99% of the work for you.

The polymer dialog does not work so well for small screens i found, but i have a complicated layout.
I ended up writing my own dialog css. I think the Polymer team are working on this aspect though. So just a matter of waiting for new release.

Also i worked out a way to dramatically reduce the amount of polymer code / and dependencies, even after the vulcanisation.
I call it dist slim. i basically copy the dist folder and remove lots of not needed stuff. It removed about 90% of the files.
These files are not loaded into the browser anyway, but i needed to reduce the size of the app.

Also making all the icons for all the potential mobile screen sizes was a bit of a pain. I think i had about 25 needed.
I will write a script in golang to automate that for the next project.

Ged - you might want to try https://www.npmjs.com/package/cordova-icon for your icons
