Open a new tab with Polymer element

What i can use to open a new tab with polymer without losing the effects of the buttons? Something that I can swap the a href for it.

I tried in this way, but didn't work in my code, but I created a new document, I changed a little your code and tried and I did get the result that i expected.

Thanks, I'm learning Polymer yet and things that i use regularly in CSS or HTML, eventually doesn't work. I know that's me the problem but, living and learning step by step.
