best practice hashtag urls and persistent menus

Would you share a basic how-to on hashtag urls like you did on the polymer page, say for the Elements > Core-Elements section?

I don't want to ask for too much, but maybe you could extend the comments in the components-docs.html on github a little, specifically the window.location.hash manipulation logic? Or do you know of some tutorials on this stuff?
