Twitter API Implementation

We want to implement a twitter search widget inside a polymer element. But the problem we are facing is that the twitter JS is not able to access the anchor tag which is inside the polymer element because it is in Shadow DOM.

We also need this to be dynamic. The user makes a selection and the Twitter widget should show relevant tweets based on the selection made by the user.
